1. Personal information
The operator does not offer registration, checkout, or a paid membership. We do not collect government IDs, phone numbers, or account passwords.
If you subscribe to the brief or watch a place, we store the email address you typed, a random token, an optional confirmation time, and (for a watch) the geography identifier. We use that address only to send official-data briefs and place-update notices. We do not sell email addresses.
If you post a comment, we store the display name and comment you typed, plus a hash of the network address (not the raw IP) for rate limits. Comments are public.
The web server or hosting provider may keep ordinary access logs (IP address, browser, time, request path) for operations and abuse response.
2. Cookies and advertising
This site uses Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-8130732299180997). Google and other third-party ad companies may use cookies. You can opt out of personalized ads at google.com/settings/ads.
A theme preference (light or dark) is stored in your browser under the localStorage key theme. That value never leaves your device through this site.
3. Sharing
The operator does not sell personal information. Emails are not a marketing list and are not shared with third parties except the mail server that delivers the message.
4. Retention
A subscriber row stays until you use the unsubscribe link in the email (or email pygoda6@gmail.com). Comments stay with the article unless they are later removed for abuse. Server logs follow the host’s ordinary retention.
5. Your rights
Unsubscribe from the link in any brief email. To delete a comment you posted, email pygoda6@gmail.com with the page URL and the display name.
6. Children
This site is a public-data publication and is not directed at children under 13.
7. Contact
Operator: Datumbrief. Email: pygoda6@gmail.com
8. Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date on this page will change. This site is independent of the U.S. Census Bureau.
