Population momentum across the U.S., Canada and Europe

Population momentum is diverging across major Western economies. In the latest World Bank observations for 2025, United States population changed +0.5%, Canada population changed +0.9%, European Union population changed +0.2%.

Population change shapes labor supply, housing demand, tax bases and the scale of consumer markets. The headline rate does not explain the mix of births, deaths and migration, but it provides a consistent starting point for comparing regional momentum.

Annual population estimates may be revised as national statistical agencies incorporate newer administrative and census records.
